Torvosaurus tanneri
  More >

A very large Late Jurassic spinosauroid theropod dinosaur from the Morrison Formation of Colorado, USA, Torvosaurus has traditionally been classified as a "megalosaurid", usually providing the reconstructions for the famous English Megalosaurus. However, this classification has recently been questioned, leaving the relationship between Torvosaurus and Megalosaurus equivical.

Torvosaurus is a rare but large dinosaur with a skull estimated to be 1.18 meters long! It lived along side Allosaurus and Ceratosaurus.
