Tyrannosaurus rex

One of the very largest predators. This dinosaur is the most famous of all. It has a larger brain and more powerful jaws than the similar sized Carcharodontosaurus or the slightly larger Giganotosaurus. New finds suggest that Tyrannosaurus grew even larger than previously thought. T.rex had the strongest bite of any dinosaur, and a good vision. It was definitely not a scavenger (but would scavenge from time to time, as all opportunistic hunters), as healed bite marks on other dinosaur bones prove.

This dinosaur is probably most famous for its role as a scary escapee in the film Jurassic Park.
